Preliminary
This is my Preliminary task, for this I had to create a school magazine aimed towards the lower school students, Year 7-9 or Ages 11-13. The front page is school colours as to adhere to a theme. The theme then follows on to the contents page where blue and yellow are the main two colours, I chose these because they contrast well together making the magazine stand out to the audience which would be good in a busy school the audience would need something to catch their eye. The Main image on the front page was used as it linked into an issue I could use for one of the Sell Lines. The price is cost affective as it is aimed towards younger children who may not have enough money to splash out on an expensive magazine "Only 20p" is bold and in a button at the top, so that it grabs the readers attention. All the Sell Lines are linked into a school theme and school magazine theme and are aimed towards issues that a younger target audience would be more interested in. The title on the front page is a casual but bold font for "Haydon" but a more formal font for "News" this is to say to the audience that this is a casual and up to date magazine, but has is still serious about the news it provides.
The contents page has 3 photos on it all linking into an article, this is so that its easier for the audience to find exactly want they want to read. It also includes a plug to promote a new competition, its placed at the bottom so that the reader reads it after all the information.
